Vegan Options: Bury St Edmunds
Wagamamas
pad-thai noodles
Wetherspoons
As mentioned in the Loughborough post, spoons have multiple suitable options! There is one located in the Corn Exchange opposite Cafe Rouge. (See more here)
Edmundo Lounge
Edmundos has an entire vegan (and a gluten free) menu! They have a whole range of options for any time of day, and they have soya milk for hot drinks too. You can see their menu as a PDF here!
Brunch
Falafel burger and fries
Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero
Bury has many coffee shops around, and pretty much all of them have soya milk available as a milk substitute. It's worth noting that none of them really have much food wise, though. (As a side note, Starbucks and Cafe Nero's websites confirm that the chocolate used for mochas and hot chocolate is dairy free, whereas when we asked in costa we were told theirs wasn't so keep an eye out!)
Neals Yard
I believe there is a vegetarian cafe in Neal's Yard in Abbeygate street. I've never been so I can't comment but it's worth having a look!
Pizza Express
Pizza express have finally got on board with vegan cheese! They have an specifically vegan pizza in their menu but when I asked they said they could put it on any pizza. They also had 2 types of dairy-free sorbet for desert including a new coconut one which was more like ice cream.
Margherita Pizza
Coconut Sorbet
I haven't eaten here in years so I don't have any photos, but they also have vegan options! There are multiple pasta dishes (penne arrabbiata is amazing!) and a few sides too. Veganuary have made a list here.
Marks and Spencers
Not a meal out but definitely a lifesaver if you're on the move. M&S have multiple vegan sandwiches as part of their take away food, as well as crisps, fruit and other things if sandwiches (or avocado!) aren't your thing.
Veggie samosa and limited edition crisps
