Is this a VEGAN Dairy Milk Bar?

If you've been on any vegan social media groups recently, you've probably heard about this guy:

The 'NOMO' bar, which stands for 'no missing out', is a free from vegan chocolate bar that is stocked in Holland and Barrett, and possibly other online stores. It markets itself as soya, gluten, egg and dairy free, and comes in4 flavours: creamy, caramel & seasalt, fruit & crunch, and dark. You can get them in smaller sizes (as pictured) or big 85g bar.

Loughborough's H&B only stocked the fruit & crunch flavour, so this is the only one I have photos of!

If I'm honest, I was sceptical as I tend to prefer 'accidentally vegan' chocolate (e.g. supermarket own dark, bournville) to specifically 'free from' versions, as these sometimes taste too artificially sweet. However, there were so many people excited about this on facebook I wanted to give it a go.

The verdict?

It's AMAZING!

This is hands down the closest thing I have found to a dairy-free dairy milk bar. It has a creamy texture that many free from chocolates slightly miss, and the raisins and biscuit really complemented it well. Even better - these are currently on offer in H&B: single bars are 66p down from 99p, and the bigger ones are £1.33 down from £1.99!
