Vegan pancake day 3 ways!

It's nearly pancake day! No matter your favourite topping or type of pancake, there's probably a way to make it vegan! Here I've put 3 different ways of enjoying vegan pancakes this Shrove Tuesday and also some vegan versions of popular toppings - you can literally make anything vegan these days.

Vegan pancake mix

M&S have recently released a pancake mix in their 'Plant Kitchen' range! It's only £1 a bottle and all you need to add is your favourite plant milk. Then, shake and squirt some into a pan and make pancakes. I haven't tried this myself yet but I've heard good things online about it and at that price it's worth a try.

Make your own

If you're feeling particularly fancy, you could make your own pancakes. Elsewhere on my blog I have a recipe for banana and blueberry pancakes which are lovely, especially if you like sweet pancakes. They're also a great way to use up any left over or browning bananas you might have.

Shop-bought vegan pancakes

Shop bought vegan pancakes can be hard to come by, but luckily Squeaky Bean have got you covered. They have both thick american style pancakes, and thinner crepe style ones. The american ones can just be popped in the toaster and are really similar to the non-vegan mini scotch pancakes that you can find in the bread section in supermarkets. The crepe ones can be either fried or microwaved if you need them done a bit quicker. They go great with some lemon juice and sugar!
