Vegan Milky Way Stars Review

One of my all time favourite chocolates before becoming vegan were milky way stars, so I was amazed to find out they had made a vegan version!

Instead of the classic mini star shaped pieces, the vegan version is being sold in 25g and 100g bars, with a plain flavour and a popping candy flavour. I was only able to find the large regualr one in my local Tesco, retailing for £2.50 a bar.

Does the vegan Milky Way Stars bar contain gluten?

No! It is also soya free, making it great for anyone who struggles to find gluten free and/or soya free chocolate.
The ingredients are:

Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Ground Tiger Nuts, Chicory Fibre, Rice Syrup Powder, Emulsifier (Sunflower Lecithin), Natural Vanilla Flavouring, Couverture Chocolate contains Cocoa Solids 35% minimum

 The verdict?

I'm a little disappointed to be honest. Don't get me wrong, it's nice, but in my opinion no nicer than super market own brand chocolate at half the price. I just don't understand why they didn't make them star shape and aerated like the original Milky Way Stars, as there is definitely a lack of 'fun' vegan chocolate! I would buy it again on offer but I wouldn't be in a hurry to buy it again full price.

Have you tried it? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
