Vegan Krispy Kreme Caramel Ring Doughnut Review

Remember how Krispy Kreme did a few vegan flavours for Veganuary that mysteriously disappeared after January ended? Well, now they've come out with a new flavour, as well as bringing back an old favourite!

Until recently, Krispy Kreme's vegan options have been a tad scarce, with them only being available to order for delivery if you live near a store. Thankfully, they've finally realised there's still a demand for them, and they've even come out with a brand new flavour - the Vegan Caramel Iced Doughnut!

This ring doughnut is covered in sweet caramel icing, and costs the same as the other ring doughnuts which is nice. I found some in my local ASDA, but I've also since seen them in Tesco too. Both also had the Vegan Fudge Brownie Bliss Filled Doughnut, which was originally released for Veganuary. I also have a review of that here if you want to read it!

I grabbed two of the caramel ring ones so I could give one to my omni partner too to get his opinion.

We got these for £1.95 each. Sorry about the neatness of them - they somehow survived a trip on a train home!

In my opinion, these are my favourite ones of the vegan options they've done - it was sweet and caramel-y enough to be indulgent without being too sickly. I also preferred these ones to the filled caramel flavour ones they did in Veganuary. My partner also loved it, didn't seem to notice a huge difference between these and the non-vegan ones, and also loved the fact it was regular caramel rather than salted.

The next time I'm lucky enough to treat myself to a Krispy Kreme doughnut, I think I'll be picking up these ones!

Have you tried them yet? What did you think? Let's have a chat in the comments 😊
