“Ramen is the quay!” |
One of the highlights of Gloucester City Centre is the beautiful quays that are home to more than just boats - there’s a shopping centre, plenty of food places and even a museum! With so many different food places to try, it can be overwhelming to know where to start - so here’s some of my favourite places to go. None of these are fully vegan but they all have great vegan options and are especially great if you’re going with non-vegan friends. By all means there are more places than these but these are just restaurants I’ve been to and enjoyed ☺️

They also do really good mock tails ☺️ |
I went here for the first time recently and wasn’t disappointed! They have one of the largest vegan menus I’ve ever seen and it was full of choices for all courses. I had the hummus to start, which had an amazing sesame flavour and came with beautiful pitta bread!

For main I had the Kritharoto Manitari, which was Orzo pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil. This had so much flavour it was unbelievable! I adore mushrooms so this was absolutely perfect.

They have a lunch menu with smaller portions and a dinner menu with larger ones if you’re more hungry. There were plenty of vegan drinks, sides and desserts too so there really is something for everyone 😄

Their vegan menu (they have a version online that might be easier to read!) |

Settebello’s vegan menu (see the link for a clearer version!) |
A lovely Italian restaurant by the water, this establishment has plenty of vegan options available. I’ve been here a couple of time and every meal has been great and full of flavour.

The vegan margherita pizza |
They have something for everyone, vegan or otherwise. The only thing I’d say is their vegan dessert menu is a bit small but the dessert was so good I can’t complain!

Tortino Al Choccolato with vegan vanilla ice cream |

Yasai Katsu curry |
Wagamama are usually one of the first chains to be brought up when people ask for recommendations for vegan food, and for good reason. They’re aiming to make their menu 50% vegan and are always adding new dishes.
|
Vegan Pad Thai with vegan “egg” and vegan “ribs”
|
They’re very good with allergies such as gluten, but unfortunately you’ll struggle here if you have an intolerance or allergy to soy. It’s always worth asking your server as they’re always incredibly helpful!
|
Yasai Gyozas |
They have lots of options for sides, mains and desserts so you’ll be able to find something you like! They also have a kids menu that has vegan options, which is nice because often places forget about vegan kids.
|
They do good vegan coffee and cake too ☺️ |
The lounges are a chain of restaurants that do a lot of different types of food - brunch, lunch ,dinner, cocktails, desserts - you name it! They have dedicated vegan and gluten free menus making it easy to see what’s available, and you can order on the app which lets you filter by dietary requirements and allergens.

Their chips are AMAZING (and the vegan burger was great too!) |
What’s your favourite place the the Quays to get vegan food? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments! ❤️
